The Washington state dept. of Financial Institutions (DFI) has gotten complaints from Washington customers of just just just what look like loan collection scams. Numerous customers reported these were contacted by entities claiming to get debts owed to businesses with вЂњCash AdvanceвЂќ in their names. The collection attempts involve threats of often legal actions, asset seizure, and arrest. The customers targeted failed to really owe your debt being collected. At the least a few of the customers had been targeted when they sent applications for loans from unlicensed lenders that are online.
Of late, a consumer reported being contacted through e-mail by a referring that is individual himself as Victor Allen from cash loan United States Of America. The e-mail demanded re re re payment for a cash loan the customer reported never taken place. The buyer reported being supplied with a so-called account payoff quantity and being threatened with appropriate action if re re payment had not been gotten.
Another consumer stated that an individual claiming to be Morris Anderson, representing Anderson Loan Assistance, contacted the buyer wanting to collect a debt allegedly owed to advance loan USA. The in-patient contacted the customer through e-mail and telephone calls, and presumably threatened legal action for a loan the customer states had not been received. The customer reported being given an account that is alleged and payoff quantity.
Various other customers reported getting emails that are threatening to get debts allegedly owed to an organization owned by advance loan, Inc. The e-mails list numerous payday lenders and claim these loan providers are owned by advance loan, Inc. Several of those emails had been delivered by individuals calling on their own Jason Marriott and David Jones.
