Popular Vietnamese folk opera performer Kim Tu longer may have gambled too long at a recent post-performance foray.
Bizarre since it may seem to us into the West, proceedings have been initiated against well-known Vietnamese Cai Luong (folk opera) singer Kim Tu Long, after the entertainer was found gambling by police in Tra On District in the Mekong Delta, Vinh longer Province. Just plain ol’ playing cards and dice and what could be considered relatively low stakes here had been enough to obtain the performer charged under Vietnam’s strict policy that is anti-gambling citizens.
Caught Playing Cards for Cash
Kim Tu longer is really a well-known and performer that is popular of Luong, a theatrical form of contemporary folk opera that will be hugely well-liked by the population in southern Vietnam, particularly in the Mekong Delta. According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Minh, a deputy authorities chief in Vinh Long Province, the artist has been charged with illegal gambling, after he was discovered among 27 others who were all playing cards for money on a barge anchored at the mouth of Tan Dinh Rivulet, following a performance in June.
