Vlak voor de kust van Trapani liggen de Egadische eilanden. Op een van deze eilanden, Levanzo, ligt een onbeschrijflijk mooi juweeltje verborgen, La Spelonca del Genovese. Mediante deze blog nemen Erwin en Nicole je mee naar deze singolare grot.

Erwin: ‘We starten onze reis naar de grot mediante de havenstad Trapani, aan de westkust van Sicilie. Trapani is de toegangspoort naar de Egadische eilanden, vanuit de haven vertrekken er tal van boten naar de eilanden. Wij kiezen voor een overtocht naar het eiland Levanzo met de veerdienst van Liberty Lines.

Het is al vroeg druk op de kade, de zon schijnt en het is een prachtige dag voor een bezoek aan de eilanden. Als we aan boord zijn en de haven hebben verlaten varen we per een klein half uur naar het eiland Favignana waar we een tussenstop maken.

Bijna alle passagiers gaan hier van boord om te genieten van een van de vele prachtige baaien die het eiland rijk is. Als iedereen van boord is, zet de veerboot koers naar Levanzo. Continue reading →
